Course Description: This course is designed to deepen understanding of current cybersecurity matters. You have probably heard of some of the more common types of cyber crimes such as ransomware, spyware, computer viruses, phishing, denial of service attacks and hacking. This course is designed to familiarize participants who are not IT experts on cybersecurity risks and internal controls. We will cover the material in a plane language, nontechnical manner. We will cover what you need to know, but not how to write the computer programs or code.

FBI Case Presentation

Course Description: This course will present an overview of an FBI embezzlement case. Special Agent Edson will explain how the subject, Sandy Jenkins, embezzled money from his employer, the Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, Texas; how the FBI investigated the case and seized assets for restitution; and how the case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.
Learning Objectives: Participants will discover the issues involved and lessons learned in an FBI embezzlement investigation.
